Don’t You Forget About Me, Alexandra Potter

What I perfect timing during that during New Year’s Eve I decided to read Don’t You Forget About Me by one of my favorite author Alexandra Potter and it’s a great book to read because the storyline started during New Year’s Eve and some kind of ancient superstitious belief. I personally don’t believe in superstition but I did enjoy the novel.

The story is about a broken hearted Tess Connelly that can’t move on from a break up from her boyfriend of almost a year and still wishes she could have a second chance in their relationship. She wished that she could redo all the mistakes she made in her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Sebastian. During the stroke of midnight of New Year’s Eve she throws a box full of memories from her relation to Sebastian wishing that she never met him. Not knowing that her wished has come true she was given a second chance to her relationship with Seb. At the same time as days goes by her friendship with their office courier grew deeper. Realizing later that Fergus had fallen in love but had gone away because of some things that Tess had done to hurt Fergus feelings.

But before the end of the year Fergus returned now a successful actor, to because of a promise that they made to each other that they will avoid the New Year’s Eve party together and that he's in love with her.

Anyway, it's a great novel to read. I'm touch by the grandfather and granddaughter relationship, it show people to care to their elderly. So don't delay reading a great novel.

Happy reading everyone.

Hard Books or Ebooks?

I find reading a book quite relaxing but I also find it stressful if I hate the story or the character. It makes me want to throw the book or torn its pages. Worst not finishing reading it at all.

If I were to choose a book or ebook I would definitely like reading a book compared to an ebook. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t like ebooks in fact I most of the novels I’ve read is in ebook form. It is cheaper and not space consuming. You can buy it online and have it on download in a minute. Plus it is more cheaper compared to hard books.  Even though ebooks are cheaper I still hit the my favorite bookstore once in a while to check the latest books.

Since I have quite a few ebooks on my hard drive I needed to have a software that would suit my needs. Then I happened to discover Calibre Library. It’s free to download and also compatible to windows. It has lots of functions like conversion of epub to pdf etc. You can use this software to buy ebooks online like in Amazon. Now my ebooks are more organized and easy to manage.

Whether you like hard books or electronic book it doesn’t really matter to me, what matter most is that I can enjoy a good book.

Waiting For The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire

By my friend’s persistence of wanting to read The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare I was also influenced to read the popular novel series that was also adapted into movies. Well, first we watch the film City of Bones and because of the ending that keep us on wondering if Clary Fray and Jace Wayland are really Valentine’s children. Then we thought maybe book made into film, and then we tried to Google it. After a couple of days I started to read the book series.

I was entertained even thought I found some loopholes and some inconsistent writing like when Jocelyn said in Book 3: City of Glass that she married at 18 and Valentine is 19 then, in Book 5: City of Lost Souls she said she was 19 and Valentine is 20. Anyway, as my teacher in world Literature once told us that if we keep criticizing a film or a book we won’t be able to enjoy so just ignore some loopholes.

Anyway, despite all of that I did finish all the books. But the thing is book 6 City of Heavenly Fire the last and final installment of the book series is not due until May 27, 2014! GRRRRRRR! I feel like I’m dying here just to have that book on my hands.

Well, as my friend once said PATIENCE is a talent, so, I’d better exercise patience while waiting for the last installment of The Mortal Instruments.

Oh, by the way before I forget Lily Collins is just perfect for Clarissa Fray role. I love her! ♥♥♥
